Laszlo Zselyi

Background:

Presenter:

Originally from London, Laszlo spent 17 years in Horsham, West Sussex before moving to North Devon in Sept 2019. While living in Horsham, he was a member of Seaside Hospital Radio for 3 years, which serves both Worthing and Southlands Hospital.

As you may have gathered, his name is not an English name, it was given to him by his father, who was Hungarian. He enjoys cooking, trying to play golf, fair-weather cycling, sea fishing and travelling with his partner.

His love of music goes back to the days when as a boy he used to listen to pirate radio in his room with his transistor radio under his pillow.

He has had various jobs throughout his life but his favourite was being a Club 18-30 rep in Ibiza.

These days he can be found working part-time at the hot food counter at Sainsbury’s.

He enjoys most music but is particularly drawn to 70’s rock. One thing you will find out is that the music he plays on his show will be music that you may not have heard for ages and some new stuff that you don’t hear on commercial radio.

During these difficult times, we do not have access to our studios as they are based in the hospital, however, many of our programmes are now being produced in our presenters home studios. We would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses carers and all other NHS key workers for all their hard work and support.

Also a huge thank you to the local businesses and organisations for their support in helping to keep Tarka Radio on air during these challenging times
